RTS / overhaul
Bull gear installation & alignment
Gear train inspection, runout and alignment work within the defined overhaul scope.
RTS / Inspection & overhaul
CAT IV drilling equipment inspection and major overhaul support for offshore and onshore assets, from scope definition through controlled reassembly and handover.
A defined inspection programme
RTS plans inspection and overhaul around equipment type, service history, manufacturer requirements and the applicable inspection standard. Disassembly provides access to the components and load paths that cannot be assessed adequately in normal operation.

Scope before mobilisation
The inspection category, disassembly extent, NDT method, acceptance criteria and final deliverables are agreed for each asset.
| Equipment group | Typical engineering scope | Basis for the work |
|---|---|---|
| Top drives & hoisting equipment | Load-path components, bearings, shafts, gearing and associated mechanical assemblies. | Applicable hoisting-equipment requirements, manufacturer instructions and the approved inspection plan. |
| Drawworks & mud pumps | Drums, drive trains, power ends, bearings, gears and related lubrication systems. | Manufacturer criteria and the applicable equipment inspection/overhaul requirements. |
| Pipe handling equipment | Hydraracker X-Y, PRS, iron roughnecks, fingerboards and related mechanisms. | Equipment-specific mechanical, hydraulic and functional acceptance criteria. |
| Cranes, jacking & pressure equipment | Condition assessment, repair, test support and specialist inspection coordination. | Asset-specific requirements and competent third-party involvement where required. |
API RP 8B concerns hoisting equipment; it is not applied indiscriminately to every drilling machine. Inspection and recertification requirements are established for the actual asset and contracted scope.
Overhaul workstreams

RTS / overhaul
Gear train inspection, runout and alignment work within the defined overhaul scope.

RTS / overhaul
Bearing and assembly measurements support reassembly decisions.
Project deliverables
Equipment identification, inspection scope, findings, photographs and measurement records.
Replacement recommendations, repair decisions, parts identification and agreed deviations.
Assembly checks, functional testing and other agreed acceptance records.
Final scope, outstanding recommendations and applicable third-party reports.
Yes. On-site and workshop execution are selected according to access, tooling, equipment condition, lifting requirements and the inspection scope.
No. Test methods, loads, pressures and acceptance criteria are established for the equipment and approved work package.
Yes. We can develop a budgetary CAT IV parts list, then refine it after inspection and technical review.
